Our story
The idea for RailTrail was born around a remote campfire, miles away from the nearest cell signal. Frustrated by the lack of reliable, real-world information on off-grid living and rugged adventure travel routes, a small group of outdoor enthusiasts decided to document their own expeditions. What started as a shared journal of trail running routes, kayaking spots, and gear tests quickly grew into a comprehensive resource for the adventure community. Today, RailTrail stands as a dedicated hub for those who seek the thrill of the unknown, committed to testing equipment in the harshest conditions and mapping out the world's most breathtaking landscapes.
